A beautiful wooden floor depends on the subfloor, the adhesive, careful laying and the final finish. That is why we look at the room and the subfloor before every job and advise you on the parquet, pattern and finish that suit your space.
Aleš Bratovž parquet flooring has been based in Trzin since 2013. We lay solid and engineered parquet and laminate, sand and restore old floors and protect them with lacquer or oil.

Call and visit
Call us and briefly describe what you need. We arrange a visit to look at the room, the subfloor and the existing floor.

Advice and quote
We help you choose the parquet, pattern and finish and prepare a quote describing the work.

Preparation and work
We prepare the subfloor, then lay, sand or restore the parquet as agreed.

Finish and handover
We protect the floor with lacquer or oil and explain at handover how to look after it.

Patterns and finishes
We choose the pattern and finish together.
Parquet can be laid in different patterns and finished with lacquer or oil. We advise you on what suits your room and how you use it.
- Lacquer
- A hard protective layer on the surface, in matt, satin or gloss. Well suited to rooms with a lot of foot traffic.
- Oil
- Soaks into the wood and brings out its grain. The surface feels natural, and worn spots can be refreshed locally.

Where do you work?
We are based in Trzin and work in Trzin, Ljubljana and the surrounding area. If your property is further away, call us and we will see what we can arrange.
Can old parquet be restored instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Solid parquet and engineered parquet with a thick enough wear layer can be sanded and refinished. After a visit we can tell you whether restoration makes sense.
How much does laying or restoring parquet cost?
The price depends on the area, the type of parquet, the condition of the subfloor and the finish you choose. After a visit we prepare a quote, so you know what to expect.
What do we need to prepare before the work starts?
The room should be empty and there should be access to electricity. Details such as what to do with doors and skirting boards are agreed during the visit.
Do you also lay laminate?
Yes. We lay laminate of every wear class and check beforehand that the subfloor is flat enough.
